slabtown

City of Portland I Portland, OR I 2018 - 2019

MEI completed both new installation and rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and water system facilities in downtown Portland.  The rehabilitation work included 1,433 LF of 14” and 16” HDPE pipe bursting.  Approximately 10,300 LF of 6” to 42” PVC, HDPE, RCP and DIP pipe was installed with conventional trenching methods. The design preceded construction significantly, requiring coordination with the City to adjust the plans based on updated infrastructure that was not shown on the drawings.

Garden Acres

City of Wilsonville I Wilsonville, OR I 2019 - 2021

This project improved 2,875 LF of Garden Acres Road in Wilsonville with concrete paved surfacing while maintaining access for residents. The utility installation included 3,080 feet of 66” welded steel raw water transmission pipe, along with blowoffs, air valves, manways, and corrosion protection. The original franchise utility design was incorrect, MEI coordinated with Ziply to move the fiber vault in 24 hours. MEI worked with the client and design team to expand the scope for a 144 LF bore to install a trenchless crossing with an 88” steel casing, because the project design did not originally connect the tie-ins on two separate projects.
